How It Works

Step 1 - Initial Consultation

We schedule an initial consultation to discuss the service offerings. We provide both regular and one-time service. We will then discuss food likes, dislikes, allergies, or other diet considerations. Based on this evaluation, we will suggest delicious menu options that meet your specifications. We will also answer any questions you may have about the service and set up a cook date.

Step 2 - Cook Date

On the scheduled cook date, we bring the groceries to your house. We bring our own pots, pans, utensils, and any other equipment we may need. We then cook all the meals you've ordered in 3-6 hours (cooking time depends on amount of meals and servings ordered). Your packaged meals are cooled safely, labeled, and stored in your refrigerator. Your kitchen is left spotless and your refrigerator full.

Step 3 - Enjoying Your Meals

Detailed heating instructions are provided to you with every service. You simply follow the easy instructions to reheat and enjoy your gourmet meals at your convenience.

Step 4 - Choosing Your Next Menu

If you are a regular customer, we will send you a menu the week before your next scheduled service. You will then make your selections for the coming week. We also accommodate special requests; we will be happy to make your favorite dish for you.

Pricing

All Personal Chef Packages below include:

  • Client assessment to determine food preferences and dietary needs
  • Personalized menu research and design
  • Grocery shopping
  • Meal preparation, packaging, labeling, and storing
  • Kitchen clean-up

An entree usually contains one protein and at least a grain and/or vegetable. Additional sides or another serving can be added at an extra cost (see additional fees).

Additional Sides and Servings

Want a soup, salad, or additional side? Are you having a guest for dinner and need an additional serving? Yellow Pear Cuisine will be happy to add an additional item to your menu order for an additional fee. Add an extra soup, salad, or side for $7.00 per serving. Add an additional serving for $10.00. There will be additional items reflected in your grocery fees.

Payment

Each personal chef package contains a service fee and a grocery fee. The service fee covers the personal chef service to you (all included services listed above). The grocery costs are separate and a copy of your grocery receipts will be sent in an itemized invoice.

Container Fees

Yellow Pear Cuisine provides the containers to package your meals. The fees for the containers will be issued with your billing. The containers are uniform can be stored easily and neatly in your refrigerator. We do offer the choice of reusable plastic containers or permanent glass Corning Ware or Pyrex containers.
